Patrick Pearson

Patrick Pearson, 68, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away April 26, 2021. Pat was born on November 4, 1952 in Ponca, NE to Elmer and Margaret (Lowe) Pearson.  He worked hard on the family farm and graduated from Ponca High School in 1971. Pat graduated from Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, NE, with an associate degree in Business Administration in 1973.

Pat had a 12-year career working at IBP/Tyson Foods in their security department and maintenance department. He owned and operated Pat’s Patio Bar in Sioux City, IA, and worked at many construction sites over the years.  He also loved playing cards, boating and other outdoor activities. Pat was united in marriage to Roxanne Knowles in 1994 and later divorced.

Those left to honor his memory include his siblings: Ron Pearson, Bellevue, NE, Joe Pearson, Mount Carmel, PA, MaryKay Pearson, Omaha, NE, Linda (Sam) Gutshall, Oceanside, CA, Helen Goble, Crossville, TN, Judy Pearson, Wheatridge, CO, Mike Pearson, Yoder, CO, Karen (Steve) Jevning, West Fargo, ND, Ray Pearson, Ft. Collins, CO; step-children: Mande Knowles and Rich Theeler; four step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; infant brother John; sister-in-law, Phyllis Pearson and brother-in-law, Mike Goble.

Pat was involved with a of number local churches, so the family wants to also extend a special thank you to everyone who offered their kindness, love, and support during Pat’s life. The family is planning a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 7^th at 10:00 A.M. at the Memorial Hall, Old Firehall location, 201 W. 16th St., South Sioux City, NE 68776.
