Seth A. Harker

August 9, 1976 — June 6, 2021

Seth Allen Harker, 44, passed away on Sunday, June 6th, 2021 after a brief battle with several medical conditions.

Seth was born in Sioux City, Iowa on August 9, 1976 to Dale and Sandra Harker. He grew up with his family in Oceanside, California before moving back to Iowa during his adolescence and started a family of his own.

Seth was formerly married to Monica, raising six children together before they amicably split many years later. Seth then raised three children with his former partner Chelsi, creating a well-blended family. He remained close friends with both mothers until his passing.

A loving father to his children Aleah, Abel, and Hayzin (including step-children: Adrianna, Tony, Noah, River, Sage, and Evelyn whom he considered his own); he lived his life enjoying every moment spent with his children, hanging with good company (so many friends in so many places), bumping music by some of his favorite artists like DJ Quick, Tech9, Sugafree, and Kurupt, boating on the river, cruising around town on his infamous yellow motorcycle, and researching/learning about specific topics not many people understood the way he did.

An extremely intelligent, insightful, compassionate, and hilariously witty man (more than his children would like to admit) left this earth too soon with the simplest of wishes for his children: to live their life with purpose and take advantage of opportunities they are provided and seek, to travel often, to give love and receive it no matter the circumstances, and to strive for anything they set their minds to. He wished they could experience everything he had in life and so much more because he believed in them and was an immensely proud father. He wanted nothing more than for the people he loved to be happy and fulfilled in their lives, and for everything he has learned by his experiences in life and through his research to be heard and understood one day.

In addition to his children, Seth is survived by his mother Sandra Harker, his sisters: Heather and Amy, his brothers: Dale Jr. and Michael. The mothers’ of his children: Monica and Chelsi. Including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was proceeded in death by his father, Dale Harker, his paternal grandparents, as well as maternal grandparents.

Jesus was calling, and Seth answered. He will be greatly missed by so many!

Seth’s funeral service will be held at Meyer Brothers Chapel, 3220 Stone Park Blvd, in Sioux City, Iowa on June 20th, 2021 at 2:00 pm. A visitation before the service will begin at 1:00 pm where his family and children will be there to welcome his many friends and relatives. His family will also be gathering at Riverside Park, shelter #6 after the service is finished to further visitation time for family and friends for a celebration of life!
